Welcome to Our Orthodontic Family
We love seeing new patients and we’re pleased that you have come to us to talk about your family’s orthodontic care. We understand that every patient has different desires, needs and expectations when it comes to orthodontic care; therefore, we take the necessary time to thoroughly discuss your concerns during your initial consultation. Dr. Rafati will also perform a complete examination that will give us insight into your orthodontic needs. This will help us determine if this is the best time for you to begin treatment, or if further growth and development is necessary. Our financial team will also work with you to discuss the cost of treatment and what payment options are available. Fees vary depending on the complexity of treatment, but we have a variety of payment options to help make your treatment more affordable. We also submit the initial insurance claims for you.
First Step – Initial Consultation
Dr. Rafati will perform the initial exam and explain the following questions:
- Is there an orthodontic problem?
- When should it be corrected?
- How long will it take?
- How much will you have to invest?
Second Step – Records
If orthodontic treatment is needed, and you elect to start your treatment, a full set of diagnostic records will be taken to further study the treatment. The diagnostic records fee is due on the day your records are taken in our office. This fee includes:
- Laboratory costs involved in producing the study models of your teeth.
- Laboratory costs to produce the initial, progress, and final panoramic and cephalogram radiographs.
- Doctor studying the diagnostic records and determining the best course of treatment.
- Doctor communicating the course of action with parents and the dentist.
- Administrative time to prepare the diagnostic records.
The diagnostic records will be kept in our files for six months. The fee quoted and treatment plan described may change if treatment is not started within six months.
