New Patients

Welcome to Our Orthodontic Family

We love seeing new patients and we’re pleased that you have come to us to talk about your family’s orthodontic care. We understand that every patient has different desires, needs and expectations when it comes to orthodontic care. Therefore, we take the necessary time to thoroughly discuss your concerns during your initial consultation.

Dr. Rafatiwill perform a complete examination that will give us insight into your orthodontic needs. This will help us determine if this is the best time for you to begin treatment, or if further growth and development is necessary.

Our financial team will also work with you to discuss the cost of treatment and what payment options are available. Fees vary depending on the complexity of treatment, but we have a variety of payment options to help make your treatment more affordable. We also submit the initial insurance claims for you.

First Step – Initial Consultation

Dr. Rafati will perform the initial exam and explain the following questions:

  • Is there an orthodontic problem?
  • When should it be corrected?
  • How long will it take?
  • How much will you have to invest?

Second Step – Records and Start of Treatment

If orthodontic treatment is needed, and you elect to start your treatment, a full set of diagnostic records will be taken and treatment will be started.

  • Initial, progress and final x-rays necessary for orthodontic treatment will be taken in the office and it is part of the orthodontic treatment.

  • We do not take impressions for study models and appliances anymore. Instead we have a scanner that helps us scan the arches for study models and appliances.

  • After studying the records, doctor completes the final treatment plan and communicates the course of action with parents and the dentist.
